-
Skin consultation
We start with an honest read of your current skin state — active breakouts, congestion, recent products, and any medications. The facial is tailored from there.
-
Deep cleanse + enzyme exfoliation
Oil-cutting cleanse followed by a fruit-enzyme exfoliant that loosens dead skin without abrasive scrubbing.
-
Safe, selective extractions
Licensed esthetician extracts only what is ready. No aggressive squeezing, no scarring risk. We work with the skin, not against it.
-
Salicylic or mandelic mask
Beta-hydroxy or alpha-hydroxy acid mask matched to your skin tolerance. Reduces redness, kills surface bacteria, and unclogs pores.
-
Blue LED light when appropriate
Optional add-on. Targets P. acnes bacteria and calms inflammation. Decided at the consult, not pushed.
-
At-home plan you can actually follow
A short, prioritized list of products and habits to support the facial. No 12-step routines.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will one acne facial clear my breakouts?
No single facial will clear a persistent acne pattern. The acne facial is part of a 3–6 visit treatment plan paired with consistent home care. Most clients see meaningful improvement in skin texture, oil regulation, and breakout frequency after the second or third visit.
Are extractions safe?
Yes, when performed by a licensed esthetician. We only extract what is ready — open or surface-level comedones — and skip anything that would damage the skin barrier or push infection deeper. Aggressive extraction is never the right tool.
Can I get an acne facial if I'm on Accutane, tretinoin, or other retinoids?
Accutane: no — pause facials until at least 6 months after your last dose. Topical retinoids (tretinoin, adapalene): yes, but pause for 5–7 days before the appointment so we can use active ingredients safely. Always tell us what you're using when you book.
Will the facial cause a "purge"?
Some clients see a brief uptick in surfacing breakouts in the 3–7 days after the first facial — clogs working their way out. This is normal and resolves on its own. By the second facial it has usually settled.
How often should I come for acne facials?
Every 2 to 4 weeks during an active treatment phase, then every 4 to 6 weeks for maintenance. We assess your specific skin pattern during the first visit and recommend a cadence.
Is an acne facial a replacement for a dermatologist?
No. For severe nodular or cystic acne, hormonal acne, or any case requiring prescription medication, see a dermatologist. Acne facials are an excellent complement to medical treatment and a strong primary approach for mild-to-moderate breakouts.
